Pedagogical Focus
I see relationships between students and educators as one of the key areas in which mutual learning can occur. Cultivating these relationships, casting a wide net to make philosophy as accessible as possible for a variety of students, and modeling respectful discourse are ways that philosophy, specifically, can be a means of helping students' intellectual development.
Classroom equity for marginalized students is also very important to me - to this end, I emphasize flexibility, respect, and meeting students where they're at.
